In the Wilderness

An Inductive Study of Numbers using Northview Curriculum

The book of Numbers is an often overlooked book full of fascinating stories about talking donkeys, poisonous snakes, spies, and battles! In it we enter the wilderness with the people of Israel on their way to the Promised Land. Their journey is marked by extreme contrasts of obedience and disobedience, just judgment and sinful rebellion, trust and doubt – sounds a lot like the journey many of us face daily!  Join us as we learn obedience and see how God is faithful when our faith is tested.

This study is approximately 2 hours of weekly homework.

Steadfast Faith Story

Spring Bible Stidy

Faithfulness regardless of our circumstances. That’s what it means to be steadfast. But in a world where so much can undermine our faith or pull us off track, steadfastness is often a rare and elusive trait.

James longs for his readers to be steadfast. His letter meets us in our suffering and sickness, our trials and temptations, our wealth and poverty, our ups and downs. He confronts our sin, our speech, and our pride. He encourages believers to have a more resilient and concrete faith: not just to hear the word, but to do it. He calls us to persevere in truth in a world of lies, to see that God’s steadfast love is ultimately the source of our steadfast faith.

This 8-week study of James provides:

5 days of study each week—observing, interpreting, and applying the text
Memory verse each week
Small group discussion questions
In a fickle and wayward age, we need biblical wisdom if we are to stay the course and be steadfast saints. The book of James provides this wisdom, and Steadfast will help you apply it.

This study is approximately 2 hours of weekly homework and takes place at the Mission Campus on Monday evenings from 7-9PM.

Mark

An Inductive Study using Precept Curriculum

The Book of Mark (Winter 2021)
This year we are so excited to be studying the book of Mark: .
“The most important question you will ever answer is this: Who do you believe Jesus Christ is? With all the opinions floating around – He’s a good man, a teacher, a prophet, the Son of God – how can you know who is right? Mark’s account of Jesus’ life gives you the answer, and it is more action-packed and fast-paced than the other three Gospel records. Rather than rehearsing what people said about Jesus, Mark shows you what Jesus actually did. As you learn to carefully observe Mark’s report, you’ll discover that Jesus left no doubt about who He claimed to be. His miracles demonstrated His authority over sickness and infirmity, spiritual darkness, dead religion, threats from nature, and even death itself.”**

This study is approximately 5 hours of weekly homework.

Galatians

An Inductive Study using Precept Curriculum

April 6-June 1, 2022

This Spring 2022 we are so excited to be studying the book of Galatians

As the gospel spread across the Roman world in the first decades after Jesus’ earthly ministry, conflict arose. Jews and Gentiles were believing the gospel, and a struggle over what it meant to be a Christian began. What does it mean to live under grace? Do you have to keep the Law to be a Christian? All of it or just part of it? Who is right? How will we know?

God used an apostle to write a letter to some churches that were struggling with this issue, a letter that still speaks today. Its message clearly defines the relationship between Law and grace, and how Christians live under grace, led by the Spirit, free from bondage.

This study is approximately 5 hours of weekly homework.
