The Gleaner's

Service Trip | Oliver, BC | August 11-17

“The Gleaners” exist to transform produce that might otherwise be wasted, into nourishment for millions of the world’s hungry. The Okanagan Gleaners developed a mission of “feeding the hungry of the world in Jesus’ name.”

Each week, a dedicated group of people gather together in Oliver, BC to process raw vegetables into a dry vegetable product, which is then made available to Christian organizations to help feed the hungry of the world.

At NYMN we strive to encourage every student to go out into all the world & make disciples. We believe our role as a church is not only to gather people, but to encourage them to scatter into the whole world, both locally and globally. This is a wonderful opportunity to come alongside this organization and provide assistance in the important work that they are doing. For more information and to apply, please click the link here.

HOW WE LIVE OUT OUR MISSION

G A T H E R

High School Youth is a weekly program at Northview’s Mission Campus. We will be meeting from 7-9:15 on Thursday evenings.

We are here for the discipleship of young people in our church and community! We do this by equipping young people with the Word of God through authentic relationships for the purpose of engaging the culture that surrounds them.

Join us if you are interested in knowing more about Jesus, seeing His love in a powerful way, or if you just want to have fun!

Students do not need to register before attending, but will be required to check in at the beginning of the event.

Jesus’ last words on earth were to his disciples, commanding them to go and make disciples, by baptizing & teaching them the word of God (Matt. 28:29-30). At NHSY, our hope is that every student will have the opportunity to GROW in their knowledge and love for God during their high school years.

We recognize that GROWing can happen both inside and outside the church. We encourage you to take part in Northview’s opportunities for growth (bible studies, student leadership programs etc.), as well as spending time in God’s word at home.

In Matthew 28:29-30, Jesus also commands his disciples to GO out into all the world & to make disciples of all nations. At Northview Mission Youth Ministry we strive to encourage every student to do the same –  to go out to their communities, schools, workplaces and make disciples of Jesus Christ. We believe our role as a church is not only to gather people but to encourage them to scatter into the whole world, both locally and globally.

MEET PASTOR JOSH

Hi, my name is Josh Brown and I am the Youth Pastor here at Northview Mission Campus. I have a Bachelors of Arts in Youth Work from Columbia Bible College. I am married to my wife, Janaya, and I love Jesus, my wife, God’s word, and connecting with young people!

My mission within youth ministry is to equip students as genuine disciples of Jesus Christ, empower them as leaders to teach and preach the Gospel, and encourage them through both relationships and prayer, towards the transformative love and grace of Christ Jesus. I so look forward to connecting and partnering with you to further encourage your child towards Jesus.
